Introduction

Bemuti

I graduated from the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in developmental and clinical child psychology, and I received my degree in clinical psychology from the University of Pécs. I have extensive experience in working with children and their parents, which I enriched as a kindergarten psychologist in a kindergarten integrating children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in the XVIth district. In addition to providing therapeutic care and skills assessment for children, I have also had the opportunity to work with young adults and parents in rural and specialised educational services in Budapest. Professional authenticity and continuous development are important to me.

In my work, I put a strong emphasis on the quality of the relationship and the relational events we create together, because I believe that our personality and our inner emotional world is formed through our connection with others, from infancy onwards. I welcome people to come to me in the 12th district of Budapest, in a relaxed, sophisticated environment.

I also offer counselling and therapy in English.

My fields

Child psychology

Sometimes, even with the loving and empathetic approach of parents, situations and life situations can arise where psychological support can be of great help to children. The joint work starts with a conversation with the parents and the psychodiagnostic process, during which we get to know each other and get a more accurate picture of the child's emotional situation. By reflecting with the parents, using up-to-date professional knowledge, we try to understand the causes and feelings at the heart of the child's symptoms.

I think it is important that psychological support is always personalised, as every family and child's emotional functioning and needs are different, no two people or problems are the same. In therapy sessions with children, when learning about their own feelings, I consider it essential to create an empathic, supportive atmosphere in which the child can feel safe. We create our common space together, so that difficult situations and feelings can be revealed more easily. With children, it is essential to be able to speak and understand them in their own language. With younger children, we connect mainly through drawing and playing together, which opens the way to explore their emotional and imaginative worlds and to express their fears in a safe way. With the older ones, we explore the emotional background of stuckness and difficulties through two-to-one conversations and creative techniques. I welcome children of nursery, preschool and school age and their parents, as well as adolescents.

When a parent asks for psychological help for their child, it is often the case that involving the child is not necessarily justified, it is more effective to work with the parents.  This can be a good solution especially in cases where the child does not have strong symptoms and the parent is experiencing uncertainty, which can be helped by counselling sessions. In addition to helping children psychologically, I also consider working together with parents to be of paramount importance.

I believe that with the emotional support and professional knowledge of a psychologist, he or she can best help your child. As each family and problem is unique, I work with parents to find solutions and resources that can help them to support and understand their child in the future. I welcome parents of children of any age to come to the consultation sessions!

Areas: parent consultation, parent counselling, parent-child consultation

Counselling and therapy for adults

Anyone today may experience a change or situation in their life where they feel stuck and decide to seek professional help.

I try to help people with their current psychological stuckness and problems by thinking with them. Beyond symptoms, it is important for me to consider the whole personality and emotional functioning. By working together, through relationship, emotional blockages and difficulties can be understood and resolved.
